Creators of “Savannah’s Race” Give Generous Donation
Jim & Sandy Hembd gratefully accept a check in November for $4,000 from Leah Martin and Laurie Pachl, creators of “Savannah’s Race”. The race was founded in honor of Laurie’s daughter, Savannah, and the proceeds are granted each year to organizations working to make the world better for people with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. We thank them!
“Building Industry Community Spirit Award” Given to GC Project
At the Orlando Conference this February, the National Home Builders Association, awarded the Glory Community project the “Building Industry Community Spirit – Judges’ Special Award of Excellence”. Our architect, Jerry Gloss, KGA Studio Architects, presented the project to the audience amid great cheering. John Stevens, Sopris Development, LLC, our builder was also present for the award.
Glory Community Receives Large Matching Grant Donation
Russ Teets, First Presbyterian Church in Boulder, presents Jim & Sandy the matching grant donation check and the Angel Donor check. This total of $527,000 has given GC the opportunity to build the first home debt free. (March 2012)

Glory Community won a special award at the MAME awards Saturday night, 9/14/13, Seawell Ballroom, Denver Center for Performing Arts…”Judges Special Award for Community Spirit.” Due to the generosity of our spectacular architect, Jerry Gloss, KGA Studio Architects, and our builder, John Stevens, Sopris Homes, Glory Community was recognized and talked about during the awards show.
