James A. Hembd, President & Founding Director
Retired for ten years from Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. Most recent position was Director of Supply Chain Management. Prior positions included V. P. of Operations-Antenna Division and V.P. & General Manager-Microelectronic Products. Over 35 years of management experience in various high tech electronics companies. BS Degree-Electrical Engineering. Resides in Broomfield and is a parent of twins with Down syndrome.
Sandra L. Hembd, Secretary & Founding Director
Over 30 years experience in non-profits as both volunteer and employee. This includes President of Long Beach Retarded Children’s Foundation Board, Special Olympics Colorado Board, various Special Olympic International Advisory committees, serving as the North American Special Olympics Family Global Leader and recently the Imagine! Foundation Board. BS Degree-Communications. Resides in Broomfield and is a parent of twins with Down syndrome.
Polly Tasset, Treasurer & Director
Retired in December, 2010, after 18 years managing small office real estate, high-end residential HOAs and bookkeeping for a local oil supply company, Polly brings enthusiasm and business expertise to the Board. She currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer for Adswerve, Inc., a Westminster based company formed with her son in 2009. Polly and husband, Rick, have lived in Broomfield since 1983 and when not traveling or working, enjoy spending time with their children and three grandchildren.
Tim Bates, Director
Currently in management for Ball Corp, Tim brings expertise in business and planning. His background includes 15 years with Sandia National Laboratories and 15 years with Ball Corp. Tim believes his faith provides wisdom for life and equips him “for every good work” according to Scripture. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, movies and spending time with his wife, Lisa.
Ron Faillaci, Director
Retired from many years in management for national corporations, Ron and wife, Rebecca, also developed, owned, and ran Seven Oaks Academy, Inc. and the Madcap Theater. He is currently serving as head of the Finance Committee for Life Fellowship Church. Ron has joined GC with a desire to help complete the vision. Through past Board involvements, his experience and talent was utilized in setting corporate direction and enhancing its profitability. We welcome this expertise and feel fortunate to have him onboard.
Rebecca Faillaci, Director
With a background in special education, Headstart, and working with special needs of all people, Rebecca brings compassion and the gift of planning to Glory Community. She, with husband, Ron, also developed, owned and ran eleven Seven Oaks Academy Child Development Centers as well as co-founding the Madcap Theater. She shares the vision of a healthy and thriving environment for the residents at Glory Community and we welcome her expertise.
Robert Frederick, Director
Currently, Robert is an Assistant Vice President for FirstBank in Westminster. Graduating with a Degree in Finance, Robert brings skills and experience in finance, fundraising and marketing. He believes in the mission of Glory Community and is anxious to participate in the growth of this organization. Robert is an outdoorsman and enjoys skiing, camping, fishing and mountain biking in his spare time.
